24 Killed in Bus Accident

CHANDIPUR, MEDINIPUR,17TH AUG: Twenty-four people including a woman and a two-month baby were killed in a tragic road accident involving a truck and Digha bus at Najafgarh, a village 14 km from here.
The ill-fated bus was carrying passangers from Digha to Howrah. The truck was carrying industrial goods to NOIDA collided head-on with bus killing twelve of them on the spot. The injured were immediately rushed to Dr, RML Hospital where eight succumbed to injuries. Some of them were let off after first aid treatment. Local people reached at the
spot. They blocked the road for three hours. They had badly beaten the truck driver. The local police reached at the spot and cleared the road afterr three hours.
The Police have registered a case against the truck driver and they are on a man hunt.
The local people felt very shocked at the shadow of death.
