Letter to the Editor of a newspaper about the rising prices.

The letter deals with the increasement in prices every week. For the last many months the prices of essential commodities have been rising. With the meager salary it has become difficult or the majority of the people to make both ends meet. A man with a fixed income finds it all the more difficult to pull on. He is always in trouble. He cannot think a way out. Goodness knows when this vicious circle of rising prices will end. The common man is crushed. He cannot fulfill even his daily requirements. The essential commodities and things of daily need are rising in prices almost every other week and some times it happens even after two or three days. There is always a solution to every problem. In order to put a check on these ever soaring prices. It is imperative for the Government to plug all the loopholes and check black marketers hoarders and profiteers. These elements are the enemies of the people. Such unworthy elements should be eliminated. If it is not put into practice the common man cannot heave a sigh of relief and he will be crushed under the wheel of this price hike.

Letter to the Health Officer complaining against the insanitary conditions of the street you live in

I know that your are doing a lot for the betterment of health of masses and housing condition in and around the city but my problem needs your personal and considerate attention. In fact there is a heap of garbage near my residence and it has made our life miserable. There is also a pond of water that always stinks. They have made the street very dirty and impassable. Most of the residents and sweepers throw the garbage in the street and it has become a filth depot. In the day time the garbage spreads in the street and gives bad smell. It has become home of mosquitoes and flies. They carry the germs and spread diseases. My younger brother and sister are always ill and because of no proper drainage system and garbage. Whenever a complaint is lodged the concerned staff does not pay any heed which is a usual habit or just do nominal work. It requires a permanent and immediate solution. It is requested not to delay this matter which is going to ruin our health. That is why I would like to request you to consider my request sympathetically and issue orders to remove this heap of garbage and drain the stinky water. The sweeper must be made punctual and regular. I will be grateful to you for this act of kindness. Yours faithfully

  Noise pollution in your city 

I would like to draw the kind attention of the concerned authorities towards increasing problem of noise pollution. It is causing great damage to the health problem of the city. It leads to irritation, loss of sleep, rest and peace. It is harmful to physical and mental health of people. Frequent loud noise affects the working efficiency of the people. Persistent noise pollution causes a loss of sense of hearing.

Increasing noise pollution is a big threat to the health and fitness of the people, if the noise pollution is allowed to go unchecked it may rob the people of their hearing capacity, creasing number of vehicles on the roads, rising growth of factories, construction work, loudspeakers used on various occasions, rock and pop music, etc. are various factors responsible for causing noise pollution. Noise control laws are openly violated.

It is the time that the authorities should awake against the danger of noise pollution. They should strictly enforce the noise control laws. The noise producing factories located in the residential areas should be shifted to far-off places without any delay. The use of loudspeaker should be stopped after specific time. Above all, public needs to be aware and cooperative against the danger of noise pollution because without public cooperation authorities cannot make much difference.

It is earnestly hoped that concerned authorities will take immediate and urgent necessary action against those responsible for noise pollution to relieve the people from the harmful effects of noise pollution.
